Membership
Chapter membership grew by almost 50%! We maintained our existing members and added professional and student members thanks in part to the Chapters ability to offer Professional Development Hours (PDH) for member participation in chapter technical webinars and seminars.
Corporate Sponsorship
Our chapter continued to receive generous support from our corporate sponsors. Sponsorship dollars assist us in the issuance of PDH credits to members, present events, and establish scholarship. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without this support.
Webinars
We presented seven webinars with average attendance of 35 active participants.
Each webinar is recorded and posted to our YouTube Channel for those who weren’t able to attend or to get a second listen.
Chapter Conferences
The AEE Canada East along with our Host Sponsor Trane presented two conferences located in Ottawa and Moncton.
The AEE Canada East welcomed more than 60 participants in Ottawa Ontario to a full day conference which featured 7 speakers.
The AEE Canada East welcomed more than 50 participants in Moncton New Brunswick to a full day conference which featured 9 speakers.
Social Networking
For the first time, the AEE Canada East hosted an in-person social/technical/networking event. The event started with a tour of the refrigeration and mechanical plant of TD Place (the home of the OHL’s Ottawa 67s) and was followed with food and networking at the CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks game vs. the BC Lions.
Blog
Our volunteer blog was active! With 18 posts from a variety of contributors, the blog featured announcements, recaps, editorials, and technical pieces.
